Deck building games are a pretty niche genre of game, but when they are done right they can be nothing short of iconic. I think the gimmicks of these games can be one of the most important things. After all, whether or not you catch the attention of gamers is one of the most important parts of releasing new games.
Super Bullet Break is a deck builder rogue-like game is a really amazing example of saving the world done right. Often in other games, saving the world is done at such a slow pace, but this game is so fast paced that it just makes more sense than most games. The main premise is that three girls are saving online games from a hacker and each girl has different stats, making each experience different. You do all this while going one section of the game at a time while making your deck better as you progress through it.
The art style is naturally incredible in this game. The character design is absolutely stunning, but the real highlight is the style within the stages themselves. Each one is based on a different genre and I just love the variety that is shown. I also really love the upbeat soundtrack as it just makes you want to match its energy and slay each level.
This game is perfect for lovers of the deck building genre, but naturally the wide array of amazing art would be perfect for all the amazing weebs out there. I feel like while this game can be pretty difficult to wrap your head around, it is a blast when you get used to it. It also helps that PQube has released some tutorial-styled videos to help the players out. This game is incredible though so I really think anyone that gives it a chance will love it.
