'Moonglow Bay', the Sombre Life Sim you Haven't Played

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

Life sims have quickly become one of the most beloved genres of games there is. Not only do people just love to lose themselves in a world that is dissimilar to theirs, but sometimes it just feels nice to feel raw emotions due to a story that you felt impacted by. Sometimes the best life sims hit you right in the feels and are instantly memorable.

Moonglow Bay is an adorable life sim where you play as a rookie angler and you are trying to fulfil your partner's final wish, all while the town around you is facing bankruptcy, It has fishing, sailing and cooking mechanics that help keep the game interesting for sure. It has quite a sombre, but helping the town's folk definitely feels fulfilling.

I absolutely love the cozy art style of Moonglow Bay. There was just something about its simplicity that drew me in so much. While it was not the most challenging game, it definitely takes you on a journey. All the subtlety of the environment and background music complimented it so well, and added to the emotion more than anything. I also really love that you can pick both your look and your partner's look AND both of your pronouns. It was a really nice touch.

I recommend this game for the gamers that love an emotional story. There's something about fulfilling the final wish of your partner that passed away that feels so real. I for one couldn't put this game down until it was completed, but it was all worth it for the beautiful story that unfolded in front of me.

What is your favourite life sim? Comment down below! And a huge thank you to Coatsink Software for the copy of this game to review! It was so lovely and I'll be playing it again very soon!

Have a nice day!

Love, Galaxy Gaymer x
