Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!
Puzzle games are maybe one of the most positively time consuming types of games you could possibly play. The best types of puzzle games both take elements of games we love, but also add new and exciting elements to differentiate it from the rest. The best types of puzzle games are able to stand out from the rest and make you think hard, but not too hard.
Summertime Madness is a beautiful first person puzzle game that takes place in Prague at the end of World War 2. It follows a painter who is trying to escape the real world. This painter has the opportunity to enter another world, but only for a limited amount of time or then he is stuck there forever. The painter must complete a very large variety of puzzles in order to return to the real world. This is very well utilized, and I have never seen a game that uses real-time aspects so well.
The art style of this game is both beautiful and feels melancholic at times. There's just something about going through all of the worlds that makes you just want to experience more and search every inch of the world. I also found the atmospheric sounds complimented the subtle background music so well throughout the entirety of Summertime Madness.
I recommend this game for people that need both thought provoking puzzles AND beauty in their lives. There's just something about the art style that makes the puzzles so much more desirable to complete, and whilst you can't really completely turn your brain off playing it, you can definitely find yourself relaxing for a lot of the game.
What is your favourite puzzle game of all time? Comment down below! Also a huge thank you to Sometimes You for sending me a copy of this game, it's much appreciated! Another thank you to DP Games for developing this beautiful game!
Have a nice day!
Love, Galaxy Gaymer x
