'Battletoads', Back and Better Than Ever

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer

Sometimes when a game series is rebooted, it can be either a really big flop, or amazing. The best kinds of rebates take the original or past games, and utilize of the amazing parts of them. That's how you make an amazing reboot.

The new Battletoads is a reboot of the amazing franchise that hasn't had an entry since 1994. It follows the story of Rash, Pimple and Zitz as they try to beat their nemisis, The Dark Queen. The storyline, however, takes a number of different This is all in a beat-em-up styled game with an arcade feel.

The near-impossible difficulty level of the original Battletoads is far in the past now. Not only is the new difficulty finally at a decent level, but you can even pick between two difficulties, Toad and Battletoad, and the modern spin is shown even more through the humour that, at times, is almost even fourth wall breaking. The jokes are hilarious, and this addition is all the things that made the original game amazing, plus even more incredible things.

I recommend this game for Battletoads veterans and newcomers alike. This game looks absolutely amazing, and the controls are so comfortable. I think this game could be the first of many Rare reboots, and I truly think Rare is back in the realm of releasing strong new games.

'Dog Duty', The Tactical Game That Stands Above The Rest

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer

Tactical games may be the most underrated and underutilized type of game in the modern era of gaming. They can be a huge underdog when it comes to new releases, but sometimes they just end up being fantastic. That's exactly what today's game has done.

Dog Duty is an amazing real-time tactical game heavily inspired by Command & Conquer. The main goal is to control a squad to battle and defeat the bad guy, Octopus Commander, and his team. The whole time you are on top of your vehicle and using your tactical abilities to defeat all enemies.

The general vibe that comes with Dog Duty has a very retro feeling to it, and definitely displays the best of its inspiration, with a lot of amazing concepts to it. The difficulty gets increasingly hard the more you play, and it prepares you very well for when you fight the final boss. It took a pretty decent amount of time for me to understand what I was doing, but when I did, I was completely hooked.

With graphics and gameplay like Dog Duty has, I believe any Command & Conquer fan, or any tactical game fans would love this game. It has the perfect amount of content, and I found myself replaying it again only days after my first playthrough. This game is very addictive.

What is your favourite tactical game? Comment down below! Also a huge thank you to Soedesco Publishing B.V for sending me a copy of Dog Duty! I really enjoyed this one!

Have a nice day!

'Zen Chess Collection', Relaxing, Yet Thought-Provoking

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

Board games are a staple for many people both as they grow up, and as they are older. There's something so relaxing about playing a game that takes nothing but some thought, and minimal rules to follow. Any game based on, or using a board game can be a huge success because of these feelings associated with it.

Zen Chess Collection is a brand new chess game one the Nintendo. There are 4 modes, each of which is more difficult than the last. You are able to change both the background colour of your board, but also the style the pieces have, even half way through a game.

Zen Chess Collection has a really relaxing aesthetic to it. It starts off by placing you near the end of a chess game where you need to get a check mate with a limited number of moves. The melancholic, yet relaxing music in the background is perfect for a game of chess. This game is super simplistic, yet really thought-provoking.

I have never played chess in my life, but this game allowed me to learn how to play it. I think for the small price of $4, this game is definitely worth it for people who like to use problem solving and strategy as much as possible. It's really refreshing to see such a minimalistic game on the Switch, and I can't wait until I've finished the remaining 200 out of 600 levels I have to do!

'The Cycle: Season 3 - Storm Chasers' is Phenomenal

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

First person shooters are the kind of games that feel like home to some people. Some of the most incredible and memorable games are first person shooters, which means they can be the first type of game that some gamers look at. Today's game is no exception to that rule.

The Cycle is an amazing first person shooter where the main goal is to be on the team that completes the most contracts. To win you need to mine a few items and leave on a big ship. You also need to fight off both AI enemies on the planet, and other players who are aiming for the same goal as you.

Season 3 of The Cycle, Storm Chasers, is among us now, and it is phenomenal. The addition of the lobby is a welcome change, and I believe it adds to the general vibe of the game really well. There is also now one big contract involving a train your team needs to take over, which is super challenging but also a lot of fun.

I believe any fans of first person shooters would love this game, and especially this season. This season looks and feels amazing, and I just think The Cycle is going to continue getting bigger and even more amazing. It would be a mistake not to try this game, as it is free, and super addictive.

What is your favourite first person shooter? Comments down below! And a huge thank you to Yager Development GmbH  for hooking me up with the code! I enjoyed the new season so much!

Have a nice day!

Wreaking Havok with 'Totally Reliable Delivery Service'

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

Some games are better when they are played with a friend. For as long as gaming has existed, multiplayer games have been a staple to many games. Although there is an influx of online multiplayer games being released every week, there are some amazing games that just stand above the rest with how unique they are.

Totally Reliable Delivery Service is a game about making deliveries, all while wreaking havok and not breaking and dropping everything. Everything in this game is extra dramatic and there are 100 different deliveries. Even the most basic tasks can turn into absolute mayhem because of the ragdoll-like physics.

This game is a really charming game that I definitely enjoyed while playing solo, but the real fun is in the multiplayer gameplay. The graphics of this game are both ridiculous and adorable, and the soundtrack just adds to the craziness. Using the triggers to carry items proves to be a challenge, but that just adds to the exciting gameplay!

I think this game is the perfect multiplayer game to play with your friends. The fun graphics will keep you laughing, and it is insanely funnfor hours on end. I will definitely be playing this again with my friends over and over again. Totally Reliable Delivery Service is also available on all platforms, so you can enjoy it pretty much anywhere for a decent price.

What is your favourite multiplayer game? Comment down below! And a huge thank you to tinyBuild Games for two keys for this game for my friend and I! We enjoyed it so much and it was much appreciated!

Have a nice day!

'StarCrossed' Is ADORABLE

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

There's something about arcade-styled games that just screams out "nostalgia" to me. We are in an era of gaming where adding a twist to a retro template can work wonders and make a game become something special. That is exactly what today's amazing game did.

StarCrossed is an adorable coop arcade-style shooter with magical girl elements. The storyline of this game is about trying to eliminate enemies and save the galaxy by bouncing a star between two characters and through every foe. This is all while you choose your combination of heroes which all have unique lines to interact with each other.

StarCrossed has a really whimsical vibe to it, and that is hugely thanks to the amazing voice actors of the game. I found myself really connecting with some characters and getting attached to certain ones. The music is also super whimsical and fun, making this game somehow even more adorable. The multiplayer gameplay is a huge highlight, but it is still possible to enjoy this game solo, just with more added difficulty.

I think this game is perfect to play with friends. It is a really amazing team building game as you have to basically predict the movements of your partner, which is difficult but really rewarding when successful. This is a game I have already revisited multiple times, plus I believe in it so much that I have it on all platforms.

What is your favourite retro game with a twist? Comment down below! Also a huge thank you to Whitehorn Digital for giving me a copy of this game, I love it so much!

Have a nice day!
