'From Space', The Amazing Alien Invasion your Life is Missing

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

Top-down games are made in such a unique format that it can be super easy to stand out and be amazing. While a lot of games of this type are solely strategy based, there are plenty of other genres mixed into the format that push the envelope and exceed expectations.

From Space is an amazing top-down action shooter where you have to fight an alien invasion using characters from different categories that are offensive, defensive and support characters. The game is built around co-op, but it can be just as fun by yourself. The battles get harder, but naturally your strength gets stronger as you progress. There is also so much content in this game for hours upon hours of fun.

From Space has some of the most charming yet simplistic character models I have seen in a long time. This adds so well to the general positive vibe that the style of this game gives me; it quickly feels really welcome for an alien invasion. I also really love that it's not insanely grindy and you power ups aren't that hard to get.

From Space is perfect for an online co-op experience with friends. The visuals are really nice to look at, the sessions can be as long or as short as you want them to be, and it's just all in all a lot of fun. I believe this game could be fun for people of all types of demographics.

What is your favourite top-down game? Comment down below! A huge thank you to Curve Digital for sending me a copy of the game to review! I love it a lot!

'Sonority', A Music Game Done Right

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

There's something so fun about how create different genres of games can be. One genre that seems to get more creative as the years pass by is the music genre. The more we grow as gamers, the more the music game genre grows and becomes more innovative and creative.

Sonority is a super cozy and stunning music puzzle adventure game where the environment is connected to the music you create. You need to use the healing power of music to help your friend back home, all by doing multiple puzzles and overcoming obstacles. Every single button on the switch is used to create a different sound.

Sonority is the perfect example of a music game done right. There's just something about the creativity of using every button that speaks to me personally. It truly showcases how amazing the switch itself really is, and quickly became one of my favourite games in its genre. I would love to see more to this already amazing game in the future on some way, shape or form.

Sonority is perfect for music lovers and cozy gamers alike. There's just something so peaceful from the gameplay to the stunning level design that is just so warm and welcoming. I think this game is a step in the right direction for Nintendo Switch games especially.

What is your favourite music game? Comment down below! A huge thank you to Application Systems Heidelberg Software GmbH for sending me a review copy of this game! I love it so much!

Get into the Holiday Spirit with 'Santacraft'

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

There's just something so simple yet exciting about a holiday themed game. Not only can be it fun for all ages more often than not, but it can also get you into the Holiday Spirit. These games are also some of the most lighthearted games on the market.

Santacraft is an adorable Christmas themed gamed where you need to help Santa find his missing reindeer and bulld his village. You need to rebuild the village yourself with different elements of mining and crafting. The crafting can be done with items such as gingerbread trees and chocolate rocks.

Santacraft is not exactly the type of game where its difficulty stands out, but I feel like that's one of the huge appeals of it. The cozy nature of this game makes it feel warm and welcoming to all players, and I could definitely not put it down as easily as expected. While many Christmas games can seem a little bit corny in a dull way, this one is definitely corny in an adorable way.

I recommend Santacraft for those who just need to get into the holiday spirit with a lighthearted game. It has all the usual beloved elements of a crafting game, but with a sweet twist around every corner. It would be a mistake not to buy this game for sure.

What is your favourite holiday game? Comment down below! Also, a huge thank you to Keymailer for sending me this game and many others within the Christmas Stream Pack! I appreciate it!

Train your Brain with 'Box Align'

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

There's something about puzzle games that is so mind-bogglingly satisfying. It usually takes a lot of thought to complete any parts of these games, and it feels like a huge accomplishment to make it through even a fraction of them. In my opinion, the harder the difficulties, the better the game is.

Box Align is an incredibly hard puzzle game with an easier said than done goal. Get rid of all boxes in the least turns possible. Although the goal of every level is the same, this game goes from doable to nearly impossible in no time. This makes it even more appealing if anything.

The simple nature of Box Align definitely adds to the appeal of it. The colours of the blocks themselves are so pleasing to the eye, drawing in the player, and then the difficulty is like none I've witnessed before in other games. This game, however, is without a doubt hours of thought provoking fun.

I recommend Box Align for puzzle lovers who are looking for a challenge. This game is an unexpected huge challenge, and it's a lot of gameplay for only a few dollars. I think it would be wrong not to snag this game.

What is your favohrite puzzle game? Comment below! Also, a huge thank you to QUByte Interactive for sending me a copy of the game to review!

'Almost My Floor', A Welcome Return to a Timeless Genre

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

The point and click genre is by far one of the most timeless genres in gaming. They are so simplistic, but some point and click games have had some of the best stories of all time. There is also a unique level of challenge when it comes to the genre.

Almost My Floor is an amazing point and click game where you play a detective who has to either solve the mysteries of the residents of a house, or go crazy trying. The story is from the perspective of two different characters and their are various possible paths to take. You are completely surrounded by death, and to solve the mystery you must solve multiple puzzles.

Almost My Floor is a perfect example of a point and click game done correctly. It is by far the most suspenseful game I have played in a long time. This was completely by the absolutely stunning art style or the game that I was instantly obsessed with. The replayability is also a huge part of this game, as every path you are able take is better than the last.

I recommend Almost My Floor for point and click lovers and horror lovers alike. This is truly one of those games that has the player on their toes throughout the entirety of it. It's also considerably cheap for how much content you actually get out of it, it's a win win situation.

What is your favourite point and click game? Comment down below! And a huge thank you to Sometimes You for sending me a review copy of the game! I appreciate it!

'Covid Kawaii!', the Cutest Response to the Pandemic

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

The pandemic has been an interesting time for all kinds of media to say the least. There have been plenty of insensitive forms of media released in relation to it, but every now and then there's positive things that are honestly pure art. That brings us to today's game.

Covid Kawaii is a beyond adorable casual indie strategy game where the goal seems simple, place various object themed characters to sidetrack and destroy the various covid particles trying to take over the world. There are 12 different maps to do this on, with multiple levels. All of which become increasingly harder and make you think a hell of a lot harder.

It goes without saying that I was a little hesitant at first when I heard about Covid Kawaii, but when I heard some positive things about it from one of my best friends, I knew it would be a game I'd love. This game is absolutely adorable. The characters are all things like hand sanitizer and bar soap that we have all become all too familiar with the last few years, and the game is in your face about using these products, but all without being intimidating or aggressive. The music is also a lot of fun and compliments the game so well, all with the most positively corny and marvelous man made sound affects that never fail to make me smile. I am also really fascinated to try the Twitch Mode in the future as it seems like loads of fun.

Covid Kawaii is not by any means an easy game as expected, but I think the level of challenge is such a nice contrast to the adorable style of the game. This game is perfect for strategy gamers that are looking for something cute for a change without leaving their roots completely. I also think this game would be perfect for the Nintendo Switch or even other consoles in the future if Wade Arcade was willing to consider something like that.

What is your favourite piece of media covid has given us? Comment down below! Also, lots of love to Wade Arcade for making this game in general, and giving me a review copy! I really appreciate it!

Have a nice day!
