Get Cozy with 'The Kids We Were'

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

Sometimes the best type of game to play is a nice low-stressed slice of life. It can not only separate a plater from other games that may be bringing them stress, but also life itself. Every now and then all we really need is to sit down with a cozy game and forget about our own world.

The Kids We Were is a wholesome slice of life adventure that follows a child named Minato and his sister who plan to find their father and reunite with him while their mother goes to a funeral service. This however leads to them unfolding a huge puzzle that surrounds their father. You need to find lots of collectibles throughout the town they live in to continue with a story based on some pretty serious topics. Every chapter makes this game feel almost like a tv show.

The Lego-like style of this game is so charming, and the environments make it all feel so aesthetically pleasing and satisfying. The soundtrack is also really amazing, making this title feel so memorable and honestly quite iconic in its own right. There is just something about The Kids We Were that can make you feel so warm inside.

I recommend this game for the more casual gamers that love a beautiful yet simplistic story, but also to the hardcore gamers that might just need a break from grinding their favourite popular game. With under 10 hours of gameplay, this game is perfect for any situation or time constraints. I really fell in love with it the second I started playing it.

What is your favourite slice of life game? Comment down below! And of course a huge thank you to Gagex for a copy of this game to review! It is absolutely brilliant!

Have a nice day!

Love, Galaxy Gaymer x
