Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!
Simulation games are simply one of the best types of games around. They can have such a vast majority of types of gameplay concepts, and they just feel like you're achieving something in real life, all while in the comfort of your house. One of the best ways this genre is utilized definitely has to be story driven simulation games.
Crossroads Inn: A Fantasy Tavern Sim (or Crossroads Inn for short), is pretty much what you'd expect. It's a tavern sim with a fun twist of a rivalry between three rival kingdoms. The kingdom or Yorevale has lost its king, and everyone basically sees the throne as an opportunity. While all this happens, you are controlling a young man who needs to manage his small tavern on the edge of the kingdom.
While simplistic yet charming graphically, I was so drawn in by the general premise of Crossroads Inn immediately. It felt like such a strangely cozy and welcoming game. Whilst a lot of attention to detail was needed, it didn't fail to feel like a relaxing experience that drew me in more and more as I played it. I also just adore the atmosphere of it so much.
This game is perfect for lovers of simulation games that need a decent story. It is simplistic enough for everyone to play, while being entertaining enough to cater for a broader audience. I feel like anybody, and everybody could appreciate Crossroads Inn for what it is. An underrated treasure.
