Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!
In recent years, a lot of game devs have remembered the importance of quality over quantity again. While some games that take you hundreds of restless hours to finish that are amazing, there can be some super short games that can be just as amazing and just as beautiful. These games also tend to be some of the really underrated games that deserve all the love in the world.
In The Rural Village of Nagoro is a beautiful anecdotal game based on the real-life village of Nagoro. This village use to be filled with hundreds of young people when the main character was young. This game explores a lot of the history of the village, and the story of it being supported by the forest and dam construction industry.
The art style of In the Rural Village of Nagoro is truly beautiful. It's so simplistic, yet so affective at the same time. This complemented the reminiscing so well and made it all feel so peaceful. The relaxing music also compliments the simplicity of this game so much. Although the game is only around ten minutes long, there's just something about it that makes me feel like it was longer, in the best way.
What is your favourite short game? Comment down below! And a huge thank you to Sohun Studio for sending me a copy of this brilliant game to review! I love it so much!
Have a nice day!
Love, Galaxy Gaymer x
