Why 'Ring Fit Adventures' Is Better Than 'Wii Fit'

So, this may not be 100% gaming related, but I have struggled with my physical appearance my whole life. Whether it is from people call me fat often, since I was only 5 years old, to people tell me how bad my skin looks. Fitness has always been something I am not good at improving, even in gaming situations.

For Christmas 2007, my family got a Nintendo with all the usual games, and one very new game, Wii Fit. I was insanely excited that we got Wii Fit, because I thought it would help me with my body image issues and help me lose some weight, so, I played it, I went through the set up, and it told me I was obese during the weigh in. I was absolutely crushed, and even though I was 10 and shouldn't have had to worry about this, it just about broke me.

Recently when I saw Nintendo was releasing another fitness game, I was extremely hesitant. Even 12 years later I am still so insecure about my weight and I was genuinely worried that if I got the new game, it would be history repeating itself. But you know what? I was wrong.

Yesterday I finally watched some footage for Ring Fit Adventure for Nintendo Switch, and I am genuinely excited to play it now. It seems the focus is no longer on actual weight, but just getting fit and doing exercise in general. I feel just the general vibe that Ring Fit Adventure has is so much more bright, and I love the RPG aspects and how they kind of make it a fitness game, but also make it as if you're playing it without noticing you're doing a lot of exercise.

I am really excited to buy this game. It is everything that Wii Fit should have been and more. I think it's a really important step in the right direction for the people of both the fitness and gaming community. I can see many of us putting so many hours into this game.

My 'Banjo Threeie' Wishlist

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

It goes without saying that the Banjo Kazooie franchise is my favourite franchise of all time. The original Banjo Kazooie was one of my earliest gaming memories on my family's Nintendo 64. The hours I have put into Banjo in my life are insane and far beyond any other game I have ever played.

Like many, for so many years I have still held that tiny bit of hope when it comes to a real Banjo Threeie to be released. It would almost be a dream come true if we were to receive this game. I have imagined how amazing it would be so many times and I have so many aspect that I hope are part of the potential game.

Both Banjo Tooie and Nuts and Bolts were amazing games in their own right, so, I think it is really important to kind of pay homage to them, but not too directly. In Banjo Tooie's case, I truly believe they had some amazing moves, and some less amazing new moves, so I think the best way to keep the Banjo Kazooie vibe is to mostly use moves such as all the different eggs and ways to shoot them, but not necessarily the abundance of underwater features. I actually also enjoyed Nuts and Bolts for the most part too, but I think just mentioning it somehow would be really cool, maybe even have a racing minigame or two?

With the original Banjo Kazooie game as my favourite, there are also some aspects of that I would love to return if we are to get a real Banjo Threeie. It is basically unknown where Tootie has been since the first game, but with the existence of her on the Super Smash Bros stage, I think it's time for her to return in one way or another, even as multiplayer option. Another multiplayer option could be based on Tooie's original Bottle's Revenge mode that was scrapped. Another thing from the original game I would love to see returning is full-bodied Gruntilda, maybe a clone or she used some kind of spell to transform herself to be stronger? Plus, who wouldn't also love to see a basic, yet unique hub world like the first game? It has potential to be epic.

Next, I have a really unique idea. For most people, when thinking about Banjo and similar franchises to it, they think about Conker's Bad Fur Day. So, what if Banjo Threeie dropped a little clue that we were also going to eventually see a new Conker game? They have constantly dropped clues at the end of games about new games, so why not drop one of the many amazing Conker characters somewhere? It could honestly be done.

By this point, the return of the Banjo Kazooie franchise is inevitable since Banjo made his way to Smash. There are so many different ways it could go. Nuts and Bolts 2, Banjo Kazooie and Tooie remastered, Banjo Pilot or Grunty's Revenge HD, or even a real Banjo Threeie. Only time can tell, but we will be waiting in excitement and a little bit of fear.

5 Franchises That Could Try A Different Genre

Hey guys! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

Franchises showing their versatility can be a vital part of keeping it both successful and relevant. Mario has games like Mario Maker, Pokemon has so many spinoff series, and nearly every series has had a kart racer at some point. Realising how many franchises have branched out to multiple genres has me thinking, what are some of the coolest games we could see in the future from my favourite franchises? Let's talk about that.

Yooka Laylee:
Yooka Laylee is the kind of franchise that may only be in the beginning of its lifespan still, meaning it could easily branch out into genres. We have already seen the 3D collectathon from the franchise, and even a 2.5D games coming soon, but what about a building game? Yooka Laylee is reminiscent of not only Banjo Kazooie, but Mario 64, and I truly think that it could have a Super Mario Maker styled game that could be extremely successful. As long as the game keeps the charm of the series, it could become so much more than just spiritual successor to Banjo.

Digimon:
There have been a lot of amazing Digimon games over the last 22 years. We have seen turn based adventure games, Smash styled fighting games, and even a lesser known racing game. I think Digimon would benefit from almost a Skyrim typed adventure where you digivolve, cool scenes like the anime and all, and you just have to survive with your digi-destined partner. I know this is kind of the same premise as Survive, but I think an open world RPG such as this would be epic.

Pokemon:
I feel like a series like Pokemon would benefit from a little bit of a revamp someday. I have always really loved the animations that happen on-screen before battles and encounters, but I feel like it is not always required. The best way to have a fresh take on this would be to have the wild Pokemon basically just walk straight up to you, same with the trainers, and the actual battle sequence even having them physically touching during battles, kind of like Pokken Tournament. This type of RPG would be really amazing if it was to come to the series.

Banjo Kazooie:
Banjo Kazooie is my favourite game of all time, but like many, I wish there were more spinoff series. We have had a racing game, platformers, and even a car building game that honestly, wasn't as bad as people say. One genre I would love to see from Banjo in the future would be a party game. How adorable would it be having all the amazing characters of the series like Banjo, Kazooie, Tootie and Mumbo playing a board game styled game run by Grunty? I feel like it would be even better than Mario Party if done correctly.

Animal Crossing:
We need an Animal Crossing racing game. It could be the most amazing and adorable game with potentially the biggest racing roster of all time. I know Isabelle is already in Mario Kart, but so are some of the characters of Diddy Kong racing. I would love to see the cute cars of my favourite characters such as Digby, Isabelle and Reese, and just feel complete happiness while playing it. Plus, the weapons and items could be insanely cool.

'Drowning', A Story Of A Personal Battle

Walking simulators are a very underrated genre when it comes to games. They can achieve so many things, such as telling a story. I find that they are also one of the most relaxing possible games.

Drowning is the kind of game from the walking simulator genre that really showcases how they can really tell an important story. It follows the story of a person in high school who is struggling with "a friend" who is giving them grief and making them feel less of themself. Each year all the problems progress and get slowly worse, with multiple different outcomes by the end.

The visuals of Drowning are simple yet very visually stimulating, and the music also has such a minimalistic vibe which I really appreciate. I also really appreciate that it talks about really taboo topics like mental health that should be discussed so much more in games. I really adore the message that Drowning has and I truly hope we see more from the developer Polygonal Wolf on the future.

'Link's Awakening' Is Simply Adorable

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

Remakes are a very big trend in recent times that can be either amazing or less than desirable. I feel that the standard is set so high at this point that is almost feels like a competition at this point. Today's game is no exception to this.

The 2019 version of Link's Awakening it truly a thing of beauty. Upon first seeing the trailer for this game, there's a sense of nostalgia, combined with a new found love for the sheet charm of this game. The Legend of Zelda Series has done many amazing things in the world of gaming, but Link's Awakening is really taking the series to the next level and to a newer demographic. The graphic are insanely adorable and the gameplay is a challenge, but not too challenging.

I truly believe that this game is the perfect way for someone to be introduced to the Legend of Zelda franchise. It is such a great take on a classic, with even more added beauty. There is also a decent amount of challenge to this game to really get someone started in the series. I think it is going to really pave the way for future remakes and remasters in the series, and just build the fanbase even further.

'Celeste', An Emotional Journey Of Self-Discovery

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

Indie games are such an amazing part of any console catalogue these days. The more indie games we see, the more impressive and incredible they usually get. I have been impressed, and quite honestly had some aspects of my life impacted by many of these games.

Celeste is a 2d platform adventure game where the main protagonist, Madeline, climbs a mountain to essentially make new discoveries about others, but more importantly herself. Throughout the game you come across some very important people, face many challenges, and just genuinely have fun. This is all while listening to one of my favourite soundtracks of any game.

The style of this game may be simplistic, but you can't help but get hooked to this beautiful story. It all feels so worth it when all your hard work comes to a climax at the end of each level. There's even four 'sides' to every level, like a cassette tape. I truly believe this game could help people with mental illness in so many ways and can put you into almost another universe on a bad day, even if only for a moment.

I highly recommend Celeste for anyone that is up for a real challenge. The sheer beauty of this game is all worth the high difficulty and I think the importance of this game is so high. It is a great game from the perspective of  retro game lovers and modern game lovers alike. I truly think it will become one of the most beloved platformers of our entire generation.

Playing 'Overwatch' Is A Rush

Hey everybody! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

Online games are a really new experience for me. Not only have I only been playing them for only a little bit over a year, but I often find myself getting insanely nervous playing them. I started off with Fortnite on Switch last year in July, but I needed a new game with a new feeling. That's how I discovered today's game.

Overwatch is an amazing online multiplayer first person fighting game that has an array of amazing fighters to use. I first fell in love with some of the characters of this game, such as D.VA and Hanzo, but I then slowly got really excited about just throwing myself into the deep end in Quick Play and just testing my abilities, improving with each game.

Overwatch is the kind of game that takes quite a while to truly master, but if you have the time it is well and truly worth the reward. I am clearly not yet a master, but I have many characters I am better with than others. I find it really is a "practice makes perfect" scenario. I highly recommend it for people that love playing competitive games and also anyone that loves a challenge. I also think it's a really solid way to improve your cooperative skills as it takes a really solid team to win.

'Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp' Is Satifying

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

Ever since the birth of the Nintendo Switch, there has been one kind of game that has received as much appreciation as is deserves, the mobile game. Whether it's classics such as Angry Birds, or even interactive games such as Pokemon Go, mobile gaming is something that can be incredible and super immersive. Today's topic, my first ever experience from a Nintendo franchise that has been around for a long time, Animal Crossing. Specifically Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.

Surprisingly, I had not really ever heard of Animal Crossing as whole until Isabelle had entered Smash. I had even played as Villager many times in Super Smash Bros since he had arrived on the roster and never really checked what game he was from. That, in hindsight, was a huge mistake that I regret a lot.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is kind of like a mini version of New Leaf. You essentially run a small camp, starting off with different campers, and the more you do tasks for your campers, the higher your level gets. This game has a really great sense of satisfaction upon completing tasks, leveling up, unlocking new campers and furniture, and just decorating both a cabin and a camp in whatever your desired style is.

I truly believe that if you have never played an Animal Crossing game, or you just want a new experience to fill in your time until the arrival of New Horizons, Pocket Camp is the mobile game for you. It's free unless you want to speed up your progress, it's just like the rest of the games from the series you know and love, and it's just genuinely a fun time. Anyone not already at least dipping their toe into this game is truly missing out.

Gaming & Mental Health

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

Mental health can be a very taboo topic at times. Sometimes to someone with mental health, it can feel like a burden, and as if they are an outcast who doesn't matter to anyone. There is no exception to this feeling for gamers.There are many gamers that have mental illnesses or even just bad mental health. More often than not, they will not say a single word about their feelings, but that doesn't mean they aren't doing something about it.

Playing various types of games is almost like a form of therapy for many gamers. The sense of achievement, combined with the feeling of relaxation can be extremely helpful for people suffering from various conditions and feelings, in fact, as long as I can remember, gaming has even been an escape for me personally.

As long as I can remember, I have had days where my mental health has not been the best, and I just feel like sleeping and doing nothing. It's the games like Pokemon and Overwatch that have helped me so much on these days. There's just something about the feeling of success in a game that can almost resonate into reality and lift your spirits, even if only temporary.

Although it may not be a permanent fix, I feel gaming can be such a helpful asset to use for people who are going through something negative. Not only can it feel like they are escaping reality, but the joy of improvement and achievement can be so helpful for them. So, if you know someone going through a hard time, support them, of course, but maybe even introduce them to games that act as actual virtual realities, such as Animal Crossing or even Pokemon.

If you are going through any form of difficulty, you are not alone. There is always someone out there willing to talk to you. If you ever need someone to talk to who is judgement free, even I am more than happy to be someone to listen to, so don't ever hesitate to reach out.

'Game Dev Story' Is Simply Charming

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

Sometimes when I don't want to play a game full of gore or violence, I often have trouble finding a game to scratch that itch. More often than not, I turn to a simulation game above almost anything else. There is just something so calming and relaxing about nearly all simulation games.

Game Dev Story is a fantastic business simulator in where you run a game development business. The aim is to reach the highest revenue possible, attempt to win game of the year, and making up to 8 staff members reach their full working potential. The point of the game is to do all of this within the first 20 years of your career, after which the main game is over, but if the player wants, it can be almost endless.

I find this game insanely charming and it is truly one of those games that you really can't put down with ease. It can be super satisfying to beat your all time records, buy licensing for new consoles (such as the Sonny Playdion and Intendro Whoops), and just simply reading some of the given names for people and consoles can be super entertaining. This game can be a good choice, whether you need a quick game, or a game to play for hours on end.

'Ni No Kuni' Is Stunning

Visuals are one of the most important aspects of a game, for me. They can be something that can make or break a gaming experience. If the art style of a game stands out to me, I can usually instantly tell that I would most likely enjoy it.

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch was recently remastered for the Nintendo Switch, leaving many gamers very happy, to say the least. Being created by people that have also worked in my favourite anime studio, Studio Ghibli, I instantly knew that this game would be a game I would fall in love with. I was not wrong.

The art style is absolutely stunning in this game, and I just can't help but stop for a second in some moments, just to simply enjoy the view. The visuals add so much to the experience and can hook in almost anyone. But the gameplay is a whole other amazing aspect. This game, in some ways, is like the beloved series that is Pokemon. You have to capture and level up creatures, which are known as familiars, and you have to build a team with them. The combat is also very similar to Pokemon which is really appreciated as it has similarities, but it also had enough unique concepts that it still stood out above many games.

I truly think almost anyone could genuinely enjoy this game, whether it is the remaster or the original version of the game. Studio Ghibli fans and RPG fans alike will more than likely enjoy this game and its sequel.

I'm Hooked On 'World End Syndrome'

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

So, visual novels have been one of my favourite types of game for pretty much all of 2019 so far. I find their stories to be more often than not emotional, and just really gripping, or sweet and heartwarming. Today's topic is not an exception at all to this.

World End Syndrome follows the story of a town where, every 100 years, people supposedly come back from the dead. Upon starting this game, just that fact alone had me hooked, but as I delved deeper, it became so much more. Everything about this game truly blew my tiny mind.

The characters you meet in your journey in this game all have such individual traits that I believe absolutely nobody would have trouble finding at least one to relate to. I found myself quickly becoming attached to different characters in each of my playthroughs, and the best part? There is multiple endings so you don't have to keep playing the same bland storyline every time. I also can't help but praise the beautiful anime art style in this game because it was just so visually satisfying.

With all the twists and turns within this game, I think it is definitely safe to say that it is up there in my favourite games I have played this year. If you're not getting attached to a new character, you are being surprised and scared by another aspect. This visual novel is so easy to immerse yourself in until you have completed each and every possible aspect of the game. I truly recommend it for people who are either just starting to play visual novels, or someone who doesn't really feel a connection when playing the average dating sim visual novels. I was so pleasantly surprised by how good World End Syndrome is that I am even already in my second full playthrough already. Do yourself a favour and grab this game as soon as possible.

'Untitled Goose Game' Is Weird

Hello everybody! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer.

Indie games have been of huge interest to me as of late. I keep finding so many games that in the past, I would never have even considered, but now, they end up being the kinds of game I love. That brings us to today's game.

Upon first seeing Untitled Goose Game, I was sceptical. I thought it would be a low quality game that is all hype, and no substance. I swore that I would never even consider playing this game. That changed upon release day.

Untitled Goose Game is a charming and addictive game. It is very goal driven and it is far above all expectations I originally had when I first saw it. The visuals are very pleasing to the eye, the goals are unique, and of course, the difficulty is just high enough to be challenging, but not too challenging.

If you were to ask me, Untitled Goose Game is well and truly worth a lot more than it actually is. I highly recommend it for anyone that loves a bit of a challenge, but also definitely a good laugh. It's super unique and I almost think it would be wrong if people didn't try it.

Games I Am Excited For (Remainder of 2019)

Hey everyone! It's your lad here, Galaxy Gaymer!

Most of the start of 2019 has been pretty slow for gaming. We have had amazing games like Yoshi's Crafted World and Senran Kagura: Peach Ball, but it truly looks like October onwards looks like it will have many amazing games released!

Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening

Legend of Zelda is back, and it seems to be better than ever. Link's Awakening is no exception to this. This remake is in such a beautiful style and I truly think it will be one of the best games we see all year. I also love the look of the Amiibo of Link that is coming out! 

Digimon: Cyber Sleuth (Complete Edition)

The Nintendo Switch may not have been around for as long as the other consoles of the same generation, but the variety of games it posseses is kind of revolutionary! One thing has been missing for a while on the Switch, a Digimon game. I have wanted a PS4 for the longest time, just solely because of games like Digimon Cyber Sleuth, but alas, we are getting both the first and second game of the series on Switch next month, and I'm ready for it! 

Pokemon: Sword and Shield

Pokemon has always been a huge part of my life. I have played each and every generation and I have never really complained about the series at all. Sword and Shield is like a dream, we are finally going to be able to play a main series Pokemon game on our TVs and I can't wait. So far these games look amazing, and I can't wait to get my hands on my own copies! 

Yooka Laylee and The Impossible Lair

Yoona Laylee is the series that people either love or hate. For me, this lizard and bear duo is honestly one of the most adorable teams I have ever played as, and I grew attached to them very quickly upon seeing them! The first game of this series was such a beautiful game that I adore and I really can't wait for this side game, it will be the perfect game to fill in the gap before we hopefully see a full sequel to the game.

Luigi's Mansion 3

Luigi has been one of my least favourite characters in the Nintendo universe for as long as I can remember, so you can probably imagine I tried to stay away from this game originally. After seeing all the footage and trailers for Luigi's Mansion 3, I am finally giving in. I recently have started to feel genuine excitement this game. It looks adorable and really fun and I am just really looking forward to experiencing it! 

WWE 2k20

WWE games are basically a tradition of mine every year. I have never missed a game, and that isn't changing with WWE 2k20. Despite the lack of information we have received about the game so far, I am super excited for this new installment to the WWE 2k series and of course, I always love seeing which wrestlers make the cut. I am also super excited for multiple new female additions to the game and I can't wait to see how amazing it looks.

There are so many amazing games coming out in the remainder of the year, but soon I'll be telling you about the new games of next year I am looking forward to also. What are some games you are looking forward to? Comment below!

My Top 10 Games Of All Time

It goes without question that gaming is one of the most important and comforting parts of my life. Gaming is something that can almost always lift my emotions and give me a good way to escape reality. In this list, I will be talking about my Top 10 favourite games of all time. This list was insanely hard to make and the games are on a variety of different consoles. Also, keep on mind, this list is purely my own opinions, so if our lists don't look similar at all, that is completely fine.

10. Gal Gun 2
It goes without saying, Gal Gun 2 has given me almost unlimited hours of fun this year. I was introduced to the series after I saw a friend on Switch playing it, so I checked it out myself. The graphics of this game are one amazing thing, but the plot is what really gets me hooked. A demon is trying to possess students and make them assault the protagonist, how does he stop them? He has to shoot a pheromone gun at them. Each and every ending of this game was enjoyable for me. I think this game is fantastic and it's definitely worth grabbing for its super cheap physical price!

9. Pokemon Stadium 2
Countless hours have been put into Pokemon Stadium 2 over the years for me. Some of my fondest memories are of me and my best friend playing this game. Generation 2 will forever be my favourite games of the Pokemon series, making the second game of the Pokemon Stadium series my favourite. Funnily enough, it's not even the battling that me and my best friend loved the most, we are way more into the mini games. Hours upon hours have been put into the mini games of Pokemon Stadium 2, me winning all the time of course unless she cheats.

8. Catherine
Catherine is actually a game that I hadn't even been made aware of until this year. I was watching a video on YouTube about games not to play in front of your parents and it was one of the games listed, so, I thought I'd try to find it. Luckily I found this game digitally on my Xbox one which was honestly such a good find. I have never been so obsessed with a strategy game that is based on making decisions. I find picking between the demon Catherine and the girlfriend Katherine so exciting, plus I love seeing each of the endings of this game! I'm also really excited to eventually invest in a PS4 to play Catherine: Full Body.

7. Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
If you are a huge fan of the Nintendo Switch, you saw this game coming on this list. Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the most visually stunning games I have ever had the pleasure of playing. This may have only been the second Legend of Zelda game I have ever played, but it is truly an amazing experience. The open world is absolutely stunning, the combat may take skill but it is still fun, and even the DLC increases the already amazing quality of the game! I could recommend this game to almost anyone.

6. Fable 2
Fable is one of my favourite franchises of all time. I have played each game from 1 to 3, but Fable 2 has to be my favourite. There are so many amazing improvements that were made for this game from the original game. I love being able to pick whether you wanted to be good or evil, buying basically the whole world is kind of exhilarating, and I also kind of love having so many side relationships weirdly enough. I can't help but only have to fondest memories of this game, which, to me, is like the Microsoft Zelda, except better in my eyes.

5. WWE 2k19
Buying a WWE game has been a special part of every single year for me. I love to see all the fresh faces and new features with every game. I felt really attached to WWE 2k19 when it came out last year because it suddenly had some of my more recent favourite wrestlers, and some character models had such big improvements that I still adore playing this game to this day! I can't wait to see how they manage to make WWE 2k20 even bigger and better.

4. Super Smash Brothers Ultimate
Super Smash Brothers is another series that I look back on with such fondness. It was one of the games I played with my siblings on Nintendo 64, I played it with my best friend on N64, Nintendo Wii, and more recently I played it with her on Nintendo Switch. I have adored this series for so long, but Super Smash Brothers Ultimate has really made the series shine above the rest. The roster has just been more increasingly amazing with every game they bring out. The roster for the Ultimate game was already stacked, and then the DLC has been slowly announced, including amazing characters such as Banjo and Joker. I truly love this game, and I could see myself winning tournaments playing it someday.

3. Life is Strange (series)
The Life is Strange series has got to be one of the most amazing choice-based games I have ever played. This series is so equally amazing with each and every release that I couldn't even pick just a single game to be on this list. The first two games started our with the amazing story of Chloe, Max and Rachel with so many important themes I've never seen in gaming before, then we get to see the story of two brothers on the run in the currently active Life is Strange 2. The replay value of all of these games is amazing, just to see all the different outcomes and really getting attached the the stories and the characters.

2. Pokemon Crystal
Pokemon has been a huge part of my life. I have played every generation not game, I have watched almost all the anime, and I have even collected thousands of cards. If one generation was to stand out to me, it would of course be generation 2. I have played all the games from generation 2, but the game that had always been my favourite is Pokemon Crystal. I remember when I first played this game, I got it for one of my birthday's and I still play it to this day. The addition of the moving sprites when Pokemon are sent out is great and getting to pick between a boy and girl character for the first time was amazing. I also love the region as a whole whether it's crushing it in the Johto region, or exploring Kanto again.

1. Banjo Kazooie
If this isn't the first time you have written a post of mine, this being my favourite game of all time will not be a surprise to you. Banjo Kazooie is one of my fondest memories when it comes to gaming, but it is also one of my earliest gaming memories. Exploring each world, learning new moves, and finding all the collectables in the 9 amazing worlds. I can't help but put this name at the top of my life for so many reasons, it is easily my favourite game of all time, and with Smash now having Banjo and Kazooie join them, who knows what could be next for this amazing franchise.

Welcome Home Banjo & Kazooie

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

So, if you are familiar with me in real life or even online, you will more than likely be aware of one of my first gaming loves, Banjo Kazooie. It's the bear and bird duo that I adore with all my heart whose game took me 15 years to complete just a single time, but this game is one of my fondest childhood, and now adulthood memories alongside Pokemon. It just brings me so much happiness when even thinking about an aspect of the franchise.

E3 this year was one of the happiest possible days for any fans of the franchise. It was announced that our duo was coming home to Nintendo, and becoming the 3rd slot in the DLC slot for Super Smash Bros Ultimate. I literally cried at the early hour of the morning I was awake to watch the Super early Nintendo portion of E3. Then, yesterday it happened. Without warning, during the Nintendo Direct, Banjo was announced to be dropping into Smash THAT DAY. Again being the cause of me tearing up!

After hours of Nintendo not letting my download the Smash update, my internet not cooperating, and me stressing, alas, Banjo appears on my screen! Not only is this the best moment in Smash history for me, but it also had to be the best gaming moment in a long time!

Banjo and Kazooie's presence in Smash felt as if it was supposed to be there. Their move set is so beautiful and so flowy and I think they'd be a great main character to use for beginners and veterans alike, and just the sheer fact that we got both a Jinjonator Final Smash AND we got amazing remixes of already amazing songs from the original Banjo soundtrack, it is like a literal dream for fans like myself. And what is next for the duo? We will see.

'Gun Gun Pixies' is Perfect For Switch

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

A number of months ago, I wrote about an incredible Vita game that I borrowed from a friend. This game takes everything amazing about shooters and adds just that little bit of fan service. This game being the amazing third person shooter, Gun Gun Pixies.

Ever since I played Gun Gun Pixies on Vita, I wanted more. I wanted to own it for myself on one of the consoles I have. Although today may have been the day that the game was officially released on Switch, luck was on my side yesterday, and I was able to play my copy a day early, and you know what? Gun Gun Pixies is truly made for the Nintendo Switch!

With more crisp and fluid controls, Gun Gun Pixies on Switch is like a whole new experience in some ways. It has all the charm that the Vita version had, but with controllers like a Switch Pro Controller, it truly adds to the experience, especially if it is played on the docked mode. The Day One Edition had a beautiful art book with adorable box art and I have already put it on display in my home.

Overall, if you want to play Gun Gun Pixies, but you don't know which version you need, I'd say both if you can, but if you really have to pick, go with Switch. The versatility of being able to play it on-the-go, or on your tv in the comfort of your home really adds to the experience! I truly think this game is a hidden gem that I'm surprised wasn't even originally bigger, but I also believe it deserves a sequel of some kind someday.
