'Rage Among The Stars', Adorable Yet Epic

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

Platformers are such a huge part of my life as a gamer, and so many other's lives as gamers. Some of my own fondest gaming memories trace back to so many of the amazing platformers that have paved the way for myself and so many others and made us the gamers we are today.

Rage Among The Stars is an adorable, yet epic game in Steam that is a platformer where you play a cute skeleton who had to race against time to complete levels, while scaling walls, gaps, and many different obstacles in order to get different medals. Perfection is the key with this game.

Whilst the skeleton is clearly adorable, I think a really cool highlight of the game is the heavy medal music which perfectly contrasts the character itself. I think the word 'Rage' being in the title says it all, the levels are simply impossible at times, but then you feel really amazing when you overcome that obstacle, or beat that level you were stuck on. I also weirdly appreciate the Easy Mode in which the skeleton gets a cute little flower to wear, which I know is intended to be used against him, but it's my favourite part. With the possibility of returning to past levels and trying to outdo yourself, it's a win-win situation!

Between the soundtrack, the adorable skeleton, and the small price of $5.95AUD, there's no reason not to get Rage Among The Stars. I think this game is a really great platformer, and I truly recommend it to any platformer fanatic as it is well worth the time and effort. I also want to give a huge thank you to Kata Games for setting me up with a copy of this incredible game that I will not stop playing anytime soon!

Games I Am Most Excited For In 2020

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

2020 is upon us, which means a whole new year of losing that weight, drinking more water, and of course, new games. This year is already looking like a really stacked year, and it would almost be weird to not have have a never ending wishlist of games. So today, her are the already announced games I am most lollimh forward to in 2020.

Tell Me Why is a new game from the creators of the incredible Life is Strange series. It follows the story of what seems to be a trans man who is reminiscing about his past and looking for many answers. I think this game sets a really good example for other story based games in the way it really broadens the variety of characters that can be in it. I am really excited to experience this game as soon as it is released.

Although we do not know much about the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel, I think it goes without saying that it is going to be equally as amazing as, or even surpass it's predecessor. It took as little as a small reveal trailer at E3 for all of our minds to be blown and for millions of questions to flood our minds. With the first game being a true masterpiece, the sequel will be truly a whole new experience to find out what happens after the story we know and love.

The Fire Emblem series is one I am yet to have any experience in outside of Super Smash Bros and Fire Emblem Heroes. When I first watched the Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore trailer during E3, I fell in love with the graphics, character design and general concept. Not only did I instantly starting researching some of the older games, but I also decided to get it on release day then and there.

Animal Crossing is the type of series that can devour hours of your life at a time, in the best possible way or course. Every game becomes more incredible and amazing, but New Horizons is a true thing of beauty that will exceed all expectations we all had about it before it was announced. I am really excited to lose hours at a time in this game, and I know it will be one of the biggest games of the year.

Digimon games are some of the most underrated games I could possibly think of. While there are many JRPGs, it's the Digimon ones that never seem to be anything less than impressive. Digimon Survive is going to be a whole new story, and a whole new experience. Although it may have been postponed last year, I think this game is going to break down even more barriers, and show the world how amazing Digimon really is.

I was not even aware of the Project Diva series, or even Hatsune Miku existing until the past year I am sad to say. I was first introduced to Miku through some of my favourite anime YouTubers, and I have never turned back since. This all lead to me checking out some of the past Project Diva games, and it's safe to say I was instantly obsessed, but I was unable to play them due to my lack of Sony consoles. Ever since the announcement of Project Diva: Mega Mix coming out on Nintendo Switch worldwide, I could not be more excited to play this game in full, as soon as it is released.

'Spirit Roots', Spookily Adorable

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

For as long as I can remember, platformers have been one of the biggest genres in gaming. There are new and amazing platformers more often than I can tell, and it's by far one of the most exciting things. More importantly, not only do platforms get released all the time, but they just get increasingly more amazing every time.

Spirits Roots is a platformer with an artistic style that is inspired by the amazing film Coraline. The story follows a whole star system that has for the most part, been deatroyed. This leaves them with multiple pieces of various planets, so they stitch all of the planets together into one planet, which then gets split by the antagonsists. The adorable protagonist needs to save the planet by getting through the 50 areas which are on 5 different parts of the broken planet.

The music in Spirit Roots is stunning and so fitting. I both enjoyed listening to it during my plathrough and I also really want to somehow grab the soundtrack for my general playlist. I also really appreciate the level of difficulty during the level progression, which is really well complimented by the sheet beauty of the world's themselves. It took me roughly 5 hours to beat the game on Switch, which was equally as amazing graphic-wise as the PC version.

This game is the kind of gaming that I think anyone can enjoy and lose themself in. Whether it's on Steam or Nintendo Switch, for the cheap price or $10.50AUD (Switch) or $6.96AUD (Steam), it would be a huge mistake not to buy it! How could you not buy it with the beautiful art style?

What is your favourite part of platformers? Comment down below! And also, a huge thank you to the publishers of Spirit Roots and Breathing Fear, Drageus Games S.A for sending me the codes for both Switch and Steam for this game! And also a huge thank you to Forward games for developing such an incredible game! I really appreciate it and I really loved the game!

'The Adventures of Elena Temple: Definitive Edition', The Addition We Needed

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

DLC and expansions are such an important part of modern gaming. Not only can they make an already amazing game reach the next level, but it can also end up being the best part of the game. I'm always extremely excited when games I love bring out more content to lose yourself in.

The Adventures of Elena Temple is an incredible game with a nostalgic vibe that I was lucky enough to receive a code for from the developer GrimTalin to play and review, and now they're back with with a bigger and better experience they were nice enough to provide me with. The Adventures of Elena Temple: Definitive Edition is that little push that the original game needed to go from awesome, to simply amazing. The additional dungeons really add to the game to the game in the best way, but my personal favourite new parts of the game is the game modifiers. These add a really great thing to an already spectacular game, but it still keeps the nostalgic feeling that comes with playing it. And just like the basic version of the game, I really love the way it is showcased on retro console screens, it's such a nice touch that I appreciate so much.

When I played the original game, I played for a solid 5 hours in my first two days, this time I played that much in one as I was so excited to revisit the game and see what was new. I simply couldn't put it down. Everything about the game is just such an amazing sense of nostalgia, as if you're having gamer deja Vu, but in reality you're experiencing something that's just as amazing as all our favourite retro games.

At the price point of $4.99 if you are buying the game as a whole, or 99 cents if you just need to upgrade, you really can't go wrong with this game. It's addictive, but not so addictive that you get annoyed when you can't finish a level instantly. I think all ages and demographics could enjoy this game as much as I can. It is already a really underrated game, just by how amazing it is. So do yourself a huge favour, go buy your copy of The Adventures of Elena Temple on December 24th on Nintendo Switch, and on later dates on both Xbox One and PC.

What is your favourite nostalgic game? Comment down below! And another huge thank you to GrimTalin for reaching out offering a code and letting me play and review the game, it is always appreciated!

'The Outer Worlds' Is Perfection

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

2019 has definitely been a year for amazing new games. Not only have we been lucky enough to have some amazing story driven games, but we've also had some games that are insanely beautiful. On the contrary of this, we have had some games that are both stunning and have deep, insane stories.

The Outer Worlds is a fantastic action RPG brought you you by Obsidian Entertainment, created with Unreal Engine and published by Private Division. You get to explore a visually stunning planet where you will come across all kinds of enemies, allies and challenges. The whole game is player-driven which is a really nice touch for sure. Plus there is all kinds of adorable and marvelous creatures that can be found.

The combat in this game is extremely challenging if you don't play a lot of action games, but I found myself really quickly catching onto it. This is all complimented really well but some of the amazing sceneries and even more so by the spectacular voice acting. The cherry on top, of course, goes to the story which is explored in such depth that you can feel everything as it happens. There is also a really decent amount of customization features for the protagonist which is again, a really nice touch that I appreciate. This game is truly mind blowing and honestly, I dare say it is the perfect game.

I highly recommend this game to anyone who is looking for a new, intense, and wonderful adventure in a whole new world. I think it is the kind of game that will gain a huge following very quickly. I also want to say the biggest, warmest, sincerest thank you to Private Division who was lovely enough to provide me with a code for this game which allowed me to do this review. It is highly appreciated.

'Breathing Fear', The Nightmare Needed

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

The Nintendo Switch has continuously had games added to its catalog that are have been both hidden gems, or larger than life installments to our favourite series. Not only have I loved the huge games, but I always love the smaller games, and I will always support them when they come along. Today's game is no exception.

Breathing Fear is about an runaway convict via a house in a forest where you need to try to escape. Multiple things in the house spook the convict out, causing his heart rate to go up, and if his heart rate goes all the way up to 70, he will die. The only way to avoid dying is by collect batteries to regenerate and lower your heart rate, and also use a number of different items.

Backtracking is a crucial part of Breathing Fear, but this isn't really a negative thing, as you can out your memory to the test, the really challenge is trying not to physically write down what to do and where to go. This game is quite difficult, but not exactly a long game, but it has 5 endings which is my favourite part of any game.

I highly recommend this game for those that like simplistic, yet challenging games, but can also live through a jump scare or two on the process. I found this game really beautiful in a simple way, and I could see myself playing it again very soon, and I think it would be a mistake not to play it for the small $7.50 at full price that it is. I was lucky enough to get this game for free on Switch, but I had been considering it anyway, so I really appreciate getting it from the publishers, Drageus Games, thanks guys!

'Ghost Grab 3000'. Adorable, Yet Awesome.

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

Steam is such a gigantic part of the modern gaming industry. Not only does it have one of the widest varities of games, but it also has the largest number of hidden gems you could possibly find. Whether you're into cute games, simulators, or even epic adventure games, there is something for everyone on steam.

Ghost Grab 3000 is an adorable new game on Steam that is all about humanity basically bring erased, leaving only souls present which you have to destroy them through the method of chaining. The controllers can be quite basic, but at the same time it integrates the possibility of using your keyboard and mouse, your Xbox controller, or even your PlayStation controller.

Not only is this game a pretty epic experience, but the style is adorable, making it very appealing to a really wide audience. The music in this game is also super simplistic, but also really infectious in the best way, it truly suits this game perfectly.

I think this game is perfect for the people that love retro styled game, in terms of both graphics and music. This game is great for both hardcore and new gamers alike and I believe anyone could enjoy it. I also want to thank the amazing developer for the code for this game, I really appreciate it!
