Goodbye Overwatch

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

All good things must come to an end, even our favourite games. It can be such a bittersweet feeling, but sometimes it's necessary. The end of a game is just like the end of an era, and hopefully the next era is just as magical and exciting. Today was definitely the end of an era that we all hold in our hearts.

Overwatch is probably one of the first online PVP games I have ever played. I remember when it first got it, I was so excited to see what all the fuss was about. When I played my first match, I knew this game was going to be a huge part of my life as a gamer. But now, the era has come to an end.

Overwatch 2 is about to come out, which is super exciting. There's some amazing new characters and all kinds of new things happening. While this is highly anticipated, it's a little bittersweet too. Yes, they can let us keep our cosmetics from the first Overwatch, but in some ways, it will never hold the same place in player's hearts. I don't mean that in a negative way, more in a sentimental way.

Overwatch 2 is the start of a new era, and I feel like most of us are definitely ready to embrace that. Yes, a lot of us are a little sad about the original game already being gone, but there are so many memories that so many of us had. I for one haven't been this excited for a game in a long time, and I can't wait to put so many hours into the new game. In the best way, I will be thinking of all the memories of the first Overwatch and making new ones.

Far Too Excited for 'Forever Skies'

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

The survival genre has got to be one of the most unique and versatile genres around. That being said, it can be really difficult to find a game that stands out among the rest within this genre. Well, this upcoming 2022 game definitely made a positive first impression on me with its current demo.

Forever Skies is a beautiful sandbox survival game with lots of adventures elements. This game takes place after a global ecological disaster on Earth, and you decide to revisit it and explore it years later. The main aim of the game is to build and customize your own high-tech airship that serves as a home, workshop, laboratory and more for you. Another large part of this game is to scan and gather resources from the surrounding debris on Earth.

First thing's first, the graphics of Forever Skies are just so beautiful. I instantly fell in love with this game, and I truly knew this would be one for my list later in the year. While the demo itself only went for 45 minutes which flew by crazily fast, I know for a fact that I need this game in my life. It's quite fascinating learning all the ins and outs of this game, but all while not being too confusing to grasp the concept of.

This game will be perfect for survival game lovers. While we don't know super extensive details of it yet, the seed has definitely been planted and intrigued me from the second I even laid eyes on it. This game may be set to be one of the best games of 2022 if the rest of the game is anything like the demo. It's just phenomenal.

What is your favourite type of survival game? Comment down below! A huge thank you to Far From Home for sending me a copy of this demo! I love this game so much already! Also, make sure you all go wishlist this game down below and give this game the love it deserves!

Cozy Graphics, Adrenaline and Stress, that's 'Tip Top Don't Fall'

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

Multi-tasking is hard. I'm not going to sugar-coat it. I am maybe one of the worst multi-taskers in my everyday life, let alone when I'm game. Some games have really terrible ways to implement multi-tasking, and other games implement it really well. Today's game has done the latter.

Tip Top: Don't Fall is a rock-climbing game where you have to try to climb different mountain faces, all while if you fall one time, you die and have to start over. You need to essentially use both hands on your controller at different times and make sure your hands work together. It takes a lot of thinking, but you definitely get the hang of it after a little while.

While I do love the art style of this game, it almost tricks you in a way. What looked like a cozy game turned into a stressful game filled with adrenaline, and this is by no means a bad thing. I loved the contrast between the art and the gameplay, especially when I could enjoy its beauty as it challenged me to use my controller like I would probably never have imagined using it. There were plenty of abilities to help however, as long as there was enough stamina left to use them.

I recommend Tip Top: Don't Fall to gamers who needs a little bit more of a challenge in their lives. While this game starts of somewhat tame, it quickly gets difficult and makes you really anticipate your next move. However, with the really reasonable price, I still think anyone should try it out. It could be their next favourite game.

What is the most difficult game you have ever played? Comment down below! Also, a huge shoutout to Sometimes You for sending me a code for this game! It's greatly appreciated!

Have a nice day!

'Witchcrafty' is Simply Stunning

Hey everyone! It's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer!

There has been a huge boost in the metroidvania market lately, and I am definitely not complaining. While some may call it oversaturated, I call it a treasure trove of possibilities. While some characteristics are almost a given in metroidvanias, the most important thing has definitely got to be to make sure your game stands out among the rest. Today's game has definitely achieved that.

Witchcrafty is a beautiful metroidvania platformer where you play a little witch who essentially needs to explore the magical world around her and decipher and fix what is wrong with the world. In order to do this, you will come across all types of creatures such as predatory plants within the forest. Like any amazing platformer, you also get to collect all types of things along the way such as coins and crystals.

First of all, this game is absolutely stunning. Like, seriously, I can't remember the last time I played such a beautiful metroidvania, but this one just blew me away. And the music was both new and fresh, but also reminiscent of some of the all-time greatest games of the genre. I just love this game more than words can explain, and I finished it like many games, in one setting. It was difficult, but not impossible.

I won't compare this game to the games it shares some similarities with. Instead, I'll just say that anyone that has played and enjoyed a metroidvania with a really nice story needs to play this. I have not felt so refreshed by a metroidvania in a long time, but Witchcrafty certainly did the trick. This game comes to Nintendo Switch on October 13th, so I highly recommend everyone grabs it.

What is your favourite metroidvania? Comment down below! Also, a huge thank you to PigeonDev for sending me a code for this game, and of course my friends at Sometimes You for publishing this game on Switch!
