My Connection With Banjo Kazooie

Hey guys, it's your lad, Galaxy Gaymer. In this post I will be talking about a very important game in my life that I have played from as early as I can remember and I still play it this day. I hope you enjoy!

Ever since I can remember, Banjo Kazooie has been a very important part of my life. When you enter the world of Banjo Kazooie, nothing else matters. The art style and main characters create this instant infatuation like no other and it's as if nothing else in the real world matters while you are playing it.

Banjo Kazooie was on of the earliest games I remember playing as a little kid. I remember literally never getting further then Clanker's Cavern, but that didn't stop me from enjoying it. The protagonists Banjo the bear and Kazooie the bird often gave me that feeling of excitement, even throughout the quite melancholy story line. I was hooked from day one, and I still am.

Although this game is one of my favourite games of all time, it honestly took me most of my life to far to actually be able to complete it. I have never completed this game in its original form on the Nintendo 64, but in 2018, I finally completed the remastered version which was part of Rare Replay. That's right, it took me more than 15 years to even complete a single game, but completing it gave me a huge sense of achievement nevertheless.

I highly recommend playing Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie and maybe even Nuts & Bolts. I think anyone can at least enjoy any of these games. There is a certain feeling of self satisfaction that comes with the feeling of collecting all the items and completing the game. It is, in my opinion, one of the greatest games EVER made. There is also the hope that someday this franchise is reborn, but I don't want to get mine, or anyone else's hopes up too much.

Introduction

Hey guys! I am the Galaxy Gaymer and you have entered the realm of one of the the most dedicated gamers you have ever witnessed in your life. I know what you're wondering, who is he? Well, that's how I want to start our journey together.

Ever since I can remember, gaming has been one of the single most crucial parts of my life. As soon as I had any level of awareness, I was playing games like Pokemon Stadium, Banjo Kazooie and Super Smash Brothers, all on my family's beloved Nintendo 64. Every day, all I wanted to do was play games, it was the only thing I was even excited to do most days.

I started off playing just Nintendo 64 with the aforementioned 3 main games, plus games such as Star Wars Speed Racer and Top Gear. Eventually I was lucky enough to be given a Gameboy Colour from my brother who had upgraded to a Gameboy Advance. The only games I played on Gameboy colour were Pokemon Gold, Silver, Yellow and Crystal, Pokemon TCG, Toy Story, Donkey Kong and eventually Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons, all of which were excellent games that I love to this day. A few years later, my brother upgraded to a Nintendo DS, meaning I got his Gameboy Advance for my birthday later that year! My main games on that were again Pokemon Ruby, Fire Red, Red Rescue Team and a Bionicles game of some kind.

My family's second console came at Christmas one year and that was the Xbox Original. There were almost too many games to name that I loved on that console, but my mains were Sonic Heroes, Halo 2, WWE Raw, WWE Wrestlemania 21 and of course, Justice League Heroes. This was the main family consoles until my father received a Xbox 360 for his birthday, but alas, I played is so much more than him, but the only games I really played on that were WWE games, Borderlands, Halo and Call of Duty. It is probably one of the best shared consoles I have ever had, probably second to the Nintendo 64 of course. We also got a Wii around the same time as the 360 but only mainly played Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart on it.

Eventually, I finally got something I had always wanted, my own brand new handheld console, the Nintendo 3DS. It is a beautiful red 3DS and I was so over the moon to get it, and I still play it a fair bit to this very day! I have so many games on it too! Pokemon Black, Black 2, X, Y, Sun, Ultra Sun, Detective Pikachu, Alpha Sapphire and Digimon World Dawn, Super Smash Bros and Animal Crossing: New Leaf. I have never spent as much time on a handheld game as I have spent on Ultra Moon, I am very proud of it.

Now finally to my very own 2 favourite consoles, my Nintendo Switch and my Xbox One! I adore both of these consoles so much! On Xbox I love Crash Bandicoot, Legend of Spyro, multiple WWE games and the Life is Strange series. On Nintendo Switch I adore Fortnite, multiple Mario games, Super Smash Bros, Pokemon Let's Go Eevee and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

As you can probably tell, gaming is, and always be will a huge part of my life. It has been such a huge release for me, it has been there at times where people have been sometimes unavailable and it has been my true bliss, that is why I have created this blog!
