So, I seem to find myself constantly trying many games just because of large amounts of hype, and other times just because it looks pretty or impressive, heck, sometimes even both. One of the more recent games that was a healthy combination of both of these things, and that game is none other than Splatoon 2.
Upon getting Splatoon 2 and experiencing the series in general for the first time, one thing put me off a little bit. The fact that this game is next to unplayable without online is pretty off-putting, and I'm really hoping for future sequels we will see offline modes or even just free online play. Online play aside, the game is really fun to play! The graphics are really stunning and the gameplay itself is very quickly addictive.
The soundtrack is also a huge highlight of Splatoon 2. It is the perfect combination of funky and fun and I honestly went and found a physical copy immediately! The concept itself is also so unique. The objective of the main mode I played was to cover as much of the map as possible with your team's ink colour! It is a time race, and you can also kill each other and make people respawn back at the start. The difficulty is really high at first, but eventually you will become a pro!
